- 1 bunch collard greens – rinsed, trimmed and chopped
- ¼ teaspoon liquid smoke
- 20 ounces of vegetable broth
- 21 fluid ounces water
- 1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup maple syrup
Directions
Step 1
Place the collard greens in a large pot. Mix in the broth, water, oil, maple syrup, liquid smoke and vinegar. Add more liquid smoke to taste. Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 hour.
