1 bunch collard greens – rinsed, trimmed and chopped
¼ teaspoon liquid smoke
20 ounces of vegetable broth
21 fluid ounces water
1 tablespoon distilled white vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup olive oil
¼ cup maple syrup
Directions
Step 1 Place the collard greens in a large pot. Mix in the chicken broth, water, oil, maple syrup, liquid smoke and vinegar.Add more liquid smoke to taste.Season with salt and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 1 hour.
